Edo election: PDP now controls 16 states after Obaseki defeated Ize-Iyamu (See full list)

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, now controls 16 states across Nigeria.

This followed the victory of Governor Godwin Obaseki in the just concluded governorship election in Edo State.

Obaseki, who was the governorship candidate of the PDP had emerged winner of the last Saturday’s election in Edo State after polling the highest votes as required by law.
