Janet Jackson, American award winning singer and sister of late king of pop, Michael Jackson, has reacted to the End SARS protest and shooting of unarmed protesters at Lekki tollgate in Lagos by Nigerian security operatives.
Jackson condemned the attitude of the Nigerian leaders which she said are destroying “this great nation”.
In a statement, she released via her official Twitter account, the American singer praised brave Nigerian youths for their courageous fight for a better Nigeria and said those behind the killings and brutality of EndSARS protesters have brought shame to the nation.
The statement reads; “To the powerful people of Nigeria, especially the young, brave future leaders who have stood fearlessly in the face of corruption and greed. I stand with you. For all those who refuse to remained chained to another generation of suffering. I pray to God for your Justice and liberation. Enough is truly enough!!! Nigeria is a land of love, beauty, culture and pride but those who have chosen to murder and brutalize have brow shame to this great nation. Your time is up. Nigeria, I pray for you and I love you so much.
